Reflection for  Yachting and Kayaking

Something I was pleased with was the weather not being too windy because we were going to go last week but it was too windy.

I really enjoyed learning how to work the boat          

because I like how to do the brakes.

Something I found hard was keeping the boat stable

because whenever we turned the boat tipped.

Something that made me think was how the boat doesn't go backwards when the wind tries to blow you back.

Something I want to get better at is keeping the boat sable.

This is a movie I made with my friends about Egypt. We made it because every class made an item about the country they are learning about.

Egyptian Cartouche Art

This is an Egyptian Cartouche.A Cartouche is like a gravestone. The Egyptians believed that if you didn't have you're name written some where you,ll disapear when you die.The names on the Cartouches are spelt as they sound.

Egyptian God Art

This is an Egyptian god that I drew. his  name is Sobek. He is the god of strength and nature both feared and respected a clear god of Pharaohs. (Royalty)
I drew it because every class in the school is learning about a country and my class is learning about Egypt. I'v used a mixture of pastel and dye to draw this.

We did it because we had a cook off for the top team and it was the last challenge.
We came first in the chant and second in the cook off.

Introduction

The regl lives in the North  Island of New Zealand. 

It’s scientific name is d,r,e,t


description

This animal has the ears and body of a rabbit, horns of a deer, wings of an eagle and has the teeth of a tiger . It is brown,blue and white and it has whiskers like a cat. This animal has rough fur hard enough to sometimes be bulletproof.

habitat

The regl lives in holes in grassy fields with other regls and can only be found in Hawkes Bay.

diet

The  regl eats grass and small animals like mice or rats. It doesn't like kiwi or other animals that are native to New Zealand because It doesn't like the taste.

behavior

Baby Regls can’t fly until they are one year old.

Male Regls fight off rivals.

Regls jump like a rabbit to move around and fly to catch their prey.

Other facts

The Regl is the most endangered animal in the world. This is why you wouldn’t see one very often.

In Conclusion

This is a beautiful animal and if you see one spread the word that they really do exist.

Gondwanaland

On Friday 24th May it was room 20's turn to do an assembly item. We did a play about Gondwanaland. My part was the weta. The best part was when we finished because it was hot in the hall. I enjoyed when I was talking. I said,"The humans brought a lot of other creatures like pigs, dogs, wasps and ugly birds called magpies. Human's even brought in spiders like the white tail. Dumb ah.
I would like to improve on my volume.

Its Not Easy Being A Cat

It’s not easy being a cat

It’s not easy being a cat........

Being chased by a dog every once and awhile or maybe every day. Being patted when you want some alone time as well as getting soaked when you’re going for a midnight stroll outside. Locked outside Wet and pretty much frozen  at night. Being feed hard smelly stuff that tastes disgusting. Coming up to another cat and accidently starting a fight.

It’s not easy being a cat.

Cliff jump

Have you ever jumped off a cliff about two stories high? I have so sit back and listen.

                                        

It all started a couple of weeks ago when I was going to jump off a cliff into water.It was about two stories high into water about two metres deep.When I was going to jump my adrenalin rushed around my body then after awhile I finally decided to jump.I said in my head right i’m  ready to jump.I ran up and jumped then all you could hear was ahh!!! smack!!!! owww!!!!!!  I had just done a  belly flop.My stomach was as red as a rose.I wanted to do it again but I didn't want to do a belly flop but eventually I did it again because it was so much fun!!!!!!!:)
